I don't know why people complain about bad, patchy roads. They are necessary to keep the tax money circulate in the economy. Do you think tax is there so the govt can sit on the increasingly growing hoard of money bags? No. It's there to spend it.

Bad quality roads that degrade fast create demand. If govt. just prints money but nothing to spend on it, that creates inflation, if there is a demand for the money it won't cause inflation. Bad roads is a legit excuse for spending in the public eye.

Bad roads are a sign the money is spent elsewhere instead of maintaining the roads/infrastructure.

If the money is spent correctly and roads are maintained as they should, you will not notice it because all roads are in good shape
