There is this russian youtuber that makes these extremely creative but at the end always butt ugly and tasteless epoxy furniture.
Is this the russian soul? What is your opinion on this? Afaik he also makes the background music himself.

The table doesn't look so bad, not sure about the other two though...

Imagine dining like this.

He put colored eggs into a table and shaped it like a pillow.

It looks really morbid like it came from a horror house. Where is the furniture?!
They don't look too bad, just some bronze wine glasses, pink plates, and a dark green table.

Here are some of his chairs. His level of creativity is just amazing.

The armchairs burn my eyes, they are too bright. I wanna see how strong they glimmer when exposed to the sun.

Somehow it does scream russian soul, because it very much aligns with picrel aesthetic

Would you as a russian put this furniture into your house?
PolandBernd2024-02-26 16:15:58 · 2yNo. 302079reply
say what you want but that table is so cool, this green chair too >>301955

and by cool I mean quirky in a sort of The-Capitol-from-The-Hunger-Games way, it's also absolutely tacky and unusable, but it takes creativity to come up with designs like that

I'm disappointed by the lack of rugs on the walls

>table is so cool
I like the legs and I even like the shape of the table. But the pastel colored eggs inside a golden egg carton is just too much. He could have continued the legs with the contrasting colors under the table and just let this shine through and it would have been really nice.
>this green chair too
I don't get why you would combine red chain with grass and flowers. Maybe it is just random or a russian playground thing.
I don't hate on the guy. He has great creativity and craftmanship and does really unique stuff. If there ever would be an exhibition of his stuff I would pay to visit it.

Good question. Hard to say, perhaps garchmaxxing ironically will become a thing among hipsters one day, they do enjoy pretending to be fools.

russians have altered sense of beauty, from day one of our lifes we any see only disgusting shit around us.
VietnamBernd2024-03-01 06:30:50 · 2yNo. 302304reply
Personally I find these evoke some nostalgic, gloomy feels. For some reason they'd also remind me of Saturday noons. Maybe the grossness IS part of the art; and beauty can be found in the most unpleasant things. Some deep tier artistic stuff. I actually like it now the more I look at them. And maybe that is also part of the art, illustrating the concept of feeling resentful at something shitty the first time one witnesses it to eventually growing fond of or getting used to seeing it.

This is my room, I repaired it with my own hands. It was aesthetically too russian. All the walls were crooked. Nothing was horizontal or vertical. Ceiling had waves made from concrete plates. It took me about 6 months to repair it.

very cool, but the curtain still looks very russian

you put a lot of effort in it and i respect that if you actually made it yourself, but you cant even get to the window there

PolandBernd2024-03-11 15:51:52 · 2yNo. 302814reply
the eggs are what makes it so quirky, without them it would be just a boring table with way too many edges

the curtain is an eyesore, but good job renovating the space on your own

did you do the electrical work too?

what I would do:
1) paint the back wall a darker color to visually shorten the room
2) move the bed most of the way towards the window
3) get a bedside table
4) hang something on the wall
5) switch to fitted sheet with elastic
6) water that plant on the right

Lel. Pls rate the furniture I made last week. It is the edgiest I've made so far.

Imho furniture should always be a little understating. If you try to make everything the center of attention you get trump tower tier rooms where everything is made out of gold.

yes, sure, but I wouldn't consider that epoxy table furniture, it's more of an art piece
