i think it's about AI, i kind of recognize some words

some old architecture for neural networks iirc

some kind of math thingie current AI models use

those are basically the things that result from training an AI model

wtf? I can't imagine any course asking of you to remember formulas like this.

When I was in university every exam was open book because the difficulty didn't rely on memorization.

Also why would you need to hide it? Are they going to search your pockets?

Same here (well, at least every IT related), makes no sense making students memorise such details.

yeah it's pretty stupid, hence I couldn't get myself to memorise them

i even had that scenario in my mind and if they tried to i would have acted embarrassed and said "uhh i think i'd rather just put up with the toilet for the last 20 mins, teehee"
