I just ruined my grandfather's 80th bitrthday by arguing about Israel and Palestine and Ukraine and Russia and stuff with everyone on the table.
I almost feel like a redditard, which I usually despise, but they are completely retarded, why is the working class in Eastern Urop so reactionary-brained? They are racist as fuck towards Arabs normally, but God forbid anyone takes the side of Jews in any context, it's like siding with muthafucking Satan with them. I fucking hate this shithole.

WHEN A FLY FALLS INTO A CUP OF COFFEE . . .*

*The Italian –* throws the cup, breaks it, and walks away in a fit of rage.

*The German –* carefully washes the cup, sterilizes it and makes a new cup of coffee.

*The Frenchman –* takes out the fly, and drinks the coffee.

*The Chinese –* eats the fly and throws away the coffee.

*The Russian –* Drinks the coffee with the fly, since it was extra with no charge.

*The Israeli –* sells the coffee to the Frenchman, sells the fly to the Chinese, sells the cup to the Italian, drinks a cup of tea, and uses the extra money to invent a device that prevents flies from falling into coffee.

*The Palestinian –* blames the Israeli for the fly falling into his coffee, protests the act of aggression to the UN, takes a loan from the European Union to buy a new cup of coffee, uses the money to purchase explosives and then blows up the coffee house where the Italian, the Frenchman, the Chinese, the German and the Russian are all trying to explain to the Israeli that he should give away his cup of coffee to the Palestinian so there will be peace.

1. Moscow is just as open to deal with Israel as everyone else on the globe.
2. The Western leftlib media likes to describe Hungary as a Trojan horse of Russia in EU and NATO, while the biggest ones are actually France and Germany.

Wednesday night I went to a synagogue meeting with a rabbi. He sits women and men in a table, buy food for us and propose some discussions. This time he asked if Israel should release the palestinian prisoners in exchange of peace, or enter in a long protracted war in Gaza to rescue the hostages (whoever is alive).
I said that Israel shoudl release all of the prisoners, this "war" is exactly what Hamas wants, it's a trap with no objective, human life is more important, Hamas is like an hydra and holding the prisoners who are not even citizens of Israel is retarded anyway.
All the religious right wing people at the table got buttmad at me. They think Israel is like a superhero able to do anything.

i think israel probably could exterminate hamas, but it would entail all the hostages dying along with 10s of thousands of palestinians ans many more than that being expelled into egypt, who would then move for europe
so maybe a ceasefire is best. idk, part of me really resents the palestinians for the way they seem to monopolise the status of an oppressed people while cheering on the azeris and saying nothing against china in east turkestan

Inability to clear the table has not been Israels problem since the 6 Days War. Israel needs to be concerned about public opinion around the world (read as: important countries :DDDDD), which is why they need to take it slowly. Hence why this war only benefits their enemies.

Well, y'know, if there's no war and Hamas starts making raids like October 7th one every week instead Israeli would not be really benefitted. Status quo is clearly not working anymore (and never did tbh) so they have to do something.

public opinion is bipolar on this issue. the ukraine war also generated a bit of bipolarity that curdled into apathy and confusion, such circumstances tend to favour the one with the high hand in the war itself and state interests at home. works out favourably for israel as far as i can tell.

IsraelBernd2023-11-04 12:19:47 · 3yNo. 292918reply
It's terrible, the city became a ghost town, everything is closed, everyone is either mobilized to the reserves or unemployed, and if you are unemployed, you are a second class citizen not getting paid by the government like the reservists.
Prices of food are going up because 50 of the 200 Hamas hostages were thai agriculture workers and all the rest of the agriculture workers left the country from fear/as a protest against the Israeli government inaction. It was the period of harvest...
People talk a lot about solidarity, union, but it is hypocrisy. I'm almost 2 months without work, I went to ask about this in the internet and I was called insensitive, someone said to me that I should volunteer.
The country seems to be heading to an economic crisis, a lot of people are leaving, I'm the only person still living in my apartment floor, all my neighbors went to stay with their families.
Every time I go to the bomb shelter in my street there are indian temporary workers there, all the israelis disappeared.
If I didn't save money for 4 years with the intention to do a master degree, I don't know how I would be living now, there is no support from anyone, it's insane, it's a cockroach society showing its face.

Shit, sorry to hear, I didn't realise it was that bad in Tel Aviv of all places. I've seen some tension between Israelis on social media in regards to the economic situation, but have no clear idea how does it look on the ground.

NetherlandsBernd2023-11-04 13:29:32 · 3yNo. 292922reply
I've heard some news about arrests of Israelis who loudly speak against the war. Not sure how widespread that is but it's wartime after all so you'd better be careful if you don't wanna leave your floor for free lunches behind the bars...
IsraelBernd2023-11-04 13:30:52 · 3yNo. 292923reply
Yes, there is a lot of tension, because Jerusalem is working normally, all the "fire" is concentrated in Tel Aviv or in the South, at least this is how it feels to me, I may be wrong. And the north has the risk of Hezbollah, with some drones entering the israeli airspace, evacuation of border towns and settlements. So there is an attitude among Jerusalem people- all of them religious, as you can imagine- of "what war? Nothing is happening, lol".

I for example was coming back from a job interview, I was in Bnei Brak, there was a missile and I had to leave the bus and enter a building with other 30 religious people there.
Another day, I was going to work out in the park, there was a missile and a woman invited me to her house, she took me to her shelter, and there she had a computer with 2 screens, and one screen was tracking stocks, the other screen had the tab on several investment and pension fund companies.
This is everyday.

And no, I don't have a family here. In fact I'm paying 800 euros as rent to live in this empty building without any work or any income. I found some sublets in Germany and I think I'm going there, dismantle my life here and try to look for a work there. At least economically the situation is fucked. Like I said, if I didn't save money for 4 years, I have no idea of what would be happening with me.
IsraelBernd2023-11-04 13:31:59 · 3yNo. 292924reply
Not at all, this is bullshit. There are a lot of people criticizing the government and the war right now. There is a permanent protest near the Tel Aviv museum now/the government compund of shaul hamelech. The whole of Tel Aviv is plastered with missing people pictures.
NetherlandsBernd2023-11-04 13:36:55 · 3yNo. 292925reply
I wonder what would happen if you just stop paying the rent. Are they gonna kick you out of an empty building nobody's going to live in?
Hmm, that's interesting. The wectern news and media still behave like they're trying to decide who to lie for, changing the sides now and then.
IsraelBernd2023-11-04 13:42:34 · 3yNo. 292926reply
I don't know, here landlords demand the payment in written checks, so you write checks for all the months of the year before hand. I thought about blocking the checks at my bank in case I leave. Anyway, there is a rent contract, if you stop paying, they can simply take you to justice for contract breach and you are fined (in general) 20 thousand nis.
The region where I live is very strange, it is a very good location, a very wealthy location, with good public transport, services and healthcare, yet when I go out I just see these chinese and indian temporary workers who live (by what I understand) 10 each in an apartment. Now with the war this became even stronger, my two neighbors were israeli girls who left their shitty suburbs to live in Tel Aviv, and now they are not here anymore. I guess they are still renting, they are just with their families and they are going to come back once everything calms again.

I walk in the street and I see indians sitting in the square, drinking and smoking.

The war isn't considered to be force majeure in Israel? Yeah, I saw that case but I thought it's some unique and groundless thing.
Here, it's almost impossible to kick a tenant out when the contract is signed. It also means it's very hard to find a place though...
