Would you wear a fake watch ironically?

Would you wear a fake while owning a legit watch just in order to not scratch it or put it to any other risk?

My option: fakes should be worn ironically only.

If somebody feels the need to wear a ridiculously expensive watch I automatically assume that he is a prick with serious ego problems and I wouldn't want to have anything to do with him.

I never felt the need to wear/own mechanical watches. Quartz watches are technological superior in almost every aspect and you can get really beautiful ones for less than 200€.

The stop watch feature of a 10€ Casio gives you a resolution of 1/100th of a second and it has less less drift than any automatic watch.

I totally get the attraction of wearing a masterpiece of fine mechanics on your wrist. A quartz can't be that. But neither is a Rolex. A Rolex is just a status symbol.

Rolex has some of the most excellent designs in history, and to me, excellent design = masterpiece of fine mechanics. I mean, excellent design is always a part of mechanic masterpiece.
