It's definitely an underrated job here in the US. Good money, no education required, very flexible working conditions, good job security and lots of travel of course.
For the first two years I lived in the truck so I didn't even have to pay rent and I traveled all over the country. Later I decided I wanted to get an apartment and be home every night so my company set me up on a dedicated route. Now I've decided I want to move to the other side of the country, so my company is transfering me to a terminal there. Lots of flexibility.
