i think it's dumb to worry about what people think about you or how they view you because their entire range of opinion are different flavors of selfishness. people are just utility maximizing robots. they will like anything that helps them gain, they will hate anything that will make them lose.
A suicidal depressed woman is not only attractive to men, she also gets understanding from other women and acceptance by the society. Her women friends will see her as struggling and understand her, support her, this is what feminism is all about. For society, the suicidal depressed woman is quirky, poetical, artistic, a "sensitive soul". A good example of this woman is Fiona Apple.
On the other side, the suicidal depressed man is a leper, a sick man, weak, fragile, disgusting. Everyone avoids him. As a man he needs to be a bread winner, but he is a failure and thus he deserves nothing from society but ostracization, isolation, avoidance. People seek nothing but status, success, money, positivity from a man, thus he has nothing to offer.

i love myself. is great. when people see me and see how loved i am, they always assume this rich social life behind it that i don't have and they want to join and be included but it's just me sitting or laying on the bed with my eyes closed loving myself. dirty people can't do it because they have seen themselves lie and cheat and bully so much but not me. i have no reason to hate myself.
