first rule was once they give you piece of paper called "povestka" this means you are obligated by the law to go to the millitary building where they take away your papers and you are no longer free, you are soldier. If after served "povestka" you are not visitng millitary building, you are charged criminally by law and can go to jail.
But if you manage to dodge that paper being pushed directly into your hands, and if your relatives don't take it on your behalf - you are free.
Lots of people in Ukraine aer eligible for service, just don't go out, don't appear on the radar, don't travel on public transport, no one can serve them povestka, no one can force them by law to be obligated to go to the millitary building. So people from millitary building are organised into raid groups and hunt young and middle aged men on the streets, they just grab them and figure out who they are later, after checking documents, they give them povestka and often drive them directly to millitary building, so people don't even have chance to visit their home before being turned into soldier against their will. Like a person can have a dog, or a kid, or a wife alone in home, and they don't even know what happened to their relative, he won't return to feed the dog, to kiss daughter, to hug wife for the last time.
are you sure you're not talking about Russia or just straight up spreading propaganda? because I found this video on a pro-Russian telegram channel* (and also a pro-russian subreddit) and there isn't another source that would corroborate what you're saying; and you don't seem that credible
* that very same channel also says Russian soldiers are acting as bodyguards for Ukrainian men in Odesa to protect them from conscription and I don't how stupid/gullible a person must be to believe something so bizarre
Not everyone enthusiastic about entering military service on the Ukraine either. There are motivated people, some would serve out of sense of duty even if not happy about it, but many are in neither group. And they hear stories from people returning from the fronts, and they know what's going on there despite they are forbidden to go public with the knowledge. They heard about the guys in territorial defence units who are thrown to the front after 3-14 days of instructions (I wouldn't call it training). It happens. Future looks bleak, they rather not go. But the army needs bodies so they use press gangs.
The less glamorous stuff won't surface in Ukrainian media, or via Ukrainian channels, but from the other side ofc, it is uncomfortable for Ukraine, and can be used to influence people. Propaganda isn't equal to lies, truth can be used just the same to achieve a goal.

Knowing the truth should be essential.
If Russians are weak, dying by the thousands, their weapons are outdated, only have shovels, doing human waves, they are corrupt, dumb, no morale... but UKRAINE STRONK! Then why Ukraine needs all the money, training, weapons, intel, etc? Should just stop supporting them.
We should know about all the weakness of Ukraine, the hardship they face, the challenges, and the danger, because then we'll see the reason why we should support Ukraine.
