I think it is pretty scary how stupid most people are.

I have a 140 IQ and I always thought of myself as pretty normal. I make mistakes and I'm not good at a lot of things. But the older I get, the more I find out how many people don't understand basic things and make mistakes with horrific consequences. Or they get angry at stuff they don't understand, become hateful and destructive.

How do you cope with this?

You should be stupid to think of it as being pretty normal, which means either you're lying or the IQ isn't really representative.

If you see people you like doing stupid things, be their mentor; go give them advise.

If it is randoms, why care?

It sounds pretty irrational to me to be bothered by others being stupid.

I also just recently realised that perhaps I am more gifted than I thought I am..

Oh isn't it wonderful that we are all different?

Well, the thing is that some people become dangerous due to their ignorance. I have often noticed they start to dislike people they think are smarter. And obviously they do things that are bad because they don't understand the consequences or lack empathy.
