unless you are a midget you can't stand up in this. midgets don't even know how good they have it. they can just stand up in a regular sized van and also they can put a small bed sideways and save so much space inside. being tiny has nothing but advantages for vehicle dwelling, they don't even know.
the height of mine is 2,70m. that means i can stand up inside, which i like a lot. downside is that there are some places where i can't drive because only smaller cars fit. there are parking garages i just can't fit in. that's not so bad for me because i bought mine to get away from crammed spaces like inner city and parking structures. other then that bridges aren't really that low here so that has never been a problem. with a van your size you don't have those problems but you might develop a crooked neck from having to duck inside all the time.
i also like to sit a bit higher so i have a better view of traffic, i found that to be a big advantage. also i have big sidemirrors like a truck and those help so much getting a better feel for traffic then these regular tiny car mirrors.
i think choosing the dimensions carefully based on your preferences and intentions is the most important.
i think this is a nice practical perspective to van dwelling dimensions:
high van: more space for storage, ability to stand up
low van: easier time getting into parking garages, no scraping branches when driving next to trees.
long van: more space
short van: way easier time finding a parking spot, easier time getting around tight corners
wide van: more space
thin van: way easier time driving through narrow streets.
