Women should not drive. I don’t know about your countries but here 90% drive like shit and the othe remaining 10% are excellent drivers. Of course, here most males also drive like shit in the sense that they don’t give a crap about pedestrians and other drivers (law of the jungle and culture of I am stronker than you/I want to be number one or arrive first), but their driving skills are actually really good.

Most annoying drivers here are those who tailgate you when you dont drive faster than the speed limit. Those are most often males.

Normal roads. On the autobahn you won't have any problems as long as you don't block the left lane.

You could just drop a block of concrete or something over the lane...

Everyone would just overtake on the right. Also only the first hundred would even know that a bicycle was blocking the lane. The rest just sees an ordinary traffic jam in front of them.

Let three males pass today.

Two did not thank me. Only one did.

Today I wanted to drive to work. The road was blocked behind my parking spot with a truck with the free-parking-everywhere-lights on in front of a construction site.

Just when I wanted to pull out a huge expensive mercedes with an old lady started to drive down the road towards the truck. When she realized that the road was blocked she stopped in front of my parking space and put her hands against here head.

I started to drive out to show her that she couldn't just stand there and block me and had to let me out so I could drive on the road in the opposite direction.

She started to very slowly drive backwards.

But instead of pulling into a driveway to turn and drive down the road forwards in the opposite drection. Or just drive to the side to let me through, she decided to really slowly drive backwards about 100m the whole road until the next crossroads where I could finally pass and drive to work.

The strange thing is that this old lady only took about 1-2 minutes of my life with her stupidity or lack of driving skills which is usually something which should not bother me at all. But when you are in your car and have to drive in walking speed behind someone you can't help but feel enraged. There is something about driving which makes a person unbalanced.

Today I let a female on a bicycle pass and she thanked me properly. I think I've finally found the good females. They ride on a bike.

Some cyclists here (including myself) thank car drivers for letting them pass (with a nod though as any hand action can be confused with an intention to take a turn). But many presume car drivers ought to stop and look very surprised when they don't. Haven't observed any gender correlation here.

There is bicycle path crossing in my city that has stop sign. You have to go uphill to get to the road (the road is elevated and it's in a forest. So it's very bad visibility, it is reasonable.

What is surprising is, a lot of drivers will still stop and yield if they see you. When it's you who have a stop rign.

Here it is usually the other way around. Cars mostly ignore cyclists and expect that they move out of their way.

Since I exclusively rode a bike for decades I know that it takes way less effort to just step onto the brake and onto the gas than to accelerate your bike from standstill so I usually give them priority. Cyclists usually don’t expect this and that makes them way more grateful.
