>Watch "Hunger" with David Bowie
>"I was a young man of 30 years"
>I realize that your 30s still counted as young back then
>I become aware that a white man in his 30s is seen as young, while an Asian or black guy in his 30 is a grandpa
>In spite of at least Japan having a higher life expectancy than Euros
How does this happen? Do Whites simply age better, contrary to American dogma? Japanese media tells me your 30 is basically the end of your middle age and the start of your old age which for some reason lasts for 40-50 years. Meanwhile, in the West, middle age starts at 45 currently.
Would you call a 30 year old boomer a "young man"?
