It is almost 50% cheaper to buy a new hair clipper on amazon that was manfactured in Indonesia ($11) than it is to just replace my lost charging cable on my US manufactured
clippers ($20)
 
Then of course as I am browsing i see some overpriced german made "precision" clippers with a cool sleek shiny design for $300

I'll search my house for the missing charging cable one more time then if i can't find it I'll just order the cheap amazon clippers i guess.

Don't get one with a battery, get one that is directly powered by mains. They have Schwingankerantriebe which are indestructable and you can't lose the cable against because it is permanently attached to the device.
If you don't want to support Moser one you can get one from Wahl.
