I tried it firing a shotgun once when I was a kid and the recoil knocked me back a meter or so even though I knew that it was coming.
“Grinches could be there!” Santa thought to himself as he fired a third barrage. “There could be Grinches anywhere.” The warm sulfur breeze felt good on his chest. “With a shotgun..." he said to himself, "...you can feel safe out loud.”
