I regularly check out things from bands I like but I usually don't find the motives very appealing. I'm also not the type that wears clothes with prints on them.
I wouldn't wear shirts that have tour dates printed on the back or stuff were they just print out the band name or band member, or album name on the front. The motive should hold out on its own.
