Yes, German women. I found tinder to be more bydlo and bumble has better educated women (but also more hippies). I was bullied and Bernd most of my life, but I'm starting to think I actually am good looking. (pic rel)

Some years ago when I was more social I would have joined a group, basically just listening, being friendly, maybe ask a few questions. If the people are compatible, Bernd usually enjoys it, laughs about stuff, and that seems to make people like Bernd. I don't even say much.
But it takes a bit of confidence. There were also situation where I tried joining a talk circle and they looked at me weird and kinda blocked me off awkwardly. Some people are just assholes.
It is much easier if you know one or two people.
To explain it in more detail: the person whose birthday it was is a classmate of mine. She invited like 40-50+ people, around 5-8 of those were other classmates of mine and me. I only went there in the first place, because I thought my classmates would be there as well, but all of them cancelled besides two.

Here in Taiwan, it is very different from the West.
If you go outside into the city, you will see lots of young couples everywhere.
You will see lots of teenagers holding hands, you will see lots of people in their 20s pushing around strollers with babies in them.
And these are all just regular people. The women are pretty in the normal way. The guys are completely average, they would even be considered less than average in the west, they are all scrawny with no muscle mass and totally bland faces. Yet they all have cute gfs.
All the women are thin and act feminine. They enjoy walking around holding hands with their bfs. When they ride up and down the escalators the men hold them from behind and they swoon. It's very strange to watch this as a Westerner. Where are all the hyper angry feminazi dykes? Where are all the BBCs? Where is all the inter-gender and inter-racial warfare? Where is the demoralization propaganda?

No I am here on a long term business trip. I will be here for at least 6 months.
It was on very short notice. I wish I had known in advance, I don't speak a word of Chinese and it's very awkward. So far I have been surviving on ramen noodles that I buy from 711 because it's the only thing I have figured out how to acquire without speaking.
I've never been to Europe so idk, but the feeling here is very different from the US.
It feels like stepping back in time 30 years. The people are legitimately more affable and feel like real human beings. I haven't figured out how to describe it yet. They have a "present-ness" to them. Like they occupy a real world.
In the US it never really feels like you are fully interacting with a person. It feels like you are interacting with an assembled, ostentatious persona, or like you are only interacting with 40% of a person, and the other 60% is in some kind of distant electronic cage. Like they are trying out different masks or something.
I have talked to some of them about this, they feel betrayed because TSMC is building the big plant in the US. They think the US is stealing TSMC and will abandon them. It's pretty sad to listen to them talk about it since it's probably true, lol.
I don't know how they feel about Westerners.
This country is like 95+% homogenous, I'd assume they are pretty xenophobic.

Internet culture quite clearly influences "irl culture" to such an extent these days that any distinction between the two is outmoded I'd say. Especially in the age of smartphone.
It's the same everywhere. Regional cultures have largely been absorbed into the centralized monoculture. Everyone, urban and rural, are all staring at the same screens.

Why do you want a gf so badly? Would it make your miserable life suddenly good? I doubt it would, you must fix your own life first, and after your life is enjoyable you will notice that there is no need for gf anymore, you already have everything you need for a happy life.
