United StatesFuck the RightBernd2022-11-09 14:35:57 · 4yNo. 238224reply
And not for the reasons the left says so.

Ezra Pound once wrote that the slave mentality is best exemplified by those who wait for their savior. This perhaps best describes the right especially in North America.

Despite being aware liberals and their leftist allies disproportionately control virtually every influential institution and profession from academia to technology, the absolute best the right has been able to muster are a worthless coalition of proud contrarians, people with elitist temperaments, shut-ins, (pseudo)intellectuals and those with nothing to lose. This coalition does not inspire the necessary class of professionals from scientists, engineers, lawyers and thinkers to form a solid front against liberals and the left. Instead, we're treated to terminally online grifters telling their respective audiences what they want to hear and offering nothing to meaningfully improve their lives. Of those who want something more, they all suffer from crabs-in-a-bucket mentality and squabble over minutiae at the expense of fulfilling long term goals.

Honestly, it all fucking hurts so much and is too exhausting for words. You people are aware of all the problems yet still can't fight to save your lives. People like Keffals and Liz Fong-Jones have more power than Stephen Crowder or Nick Fuentes ever could.

So are you a leftist?

I feel you brother, and the same observation has troubled me for a long time. Personally, I have been involved in (far) right wing circles for over ten years now, so I have a relatively broad observational baseline from which to draw conclusions. The right has always had its troubles - but there was a noticable shift in the way the right interacted with and perceived the rest of the world first with the rise of Trump and then another one when the whole Covid situation broke. It became worse once again when Russia invaded Ukraine.
For me personally, that was the straw that finally broke the camels back. Whenever possible, the right seems to take the most immoral and counterproductive stance they possibly could. Why is that?

I've ben carrying that question around for almost a year and only recently came to a satisfying answer. I remembered a book I read a few years ago written by James Webb (the historian, not the NASA guy) where he describes the rise of occultism in the 18th and 19th century. The book was originally titled "Flight from Reason" and his proposition is pretty much in that title. What he says is that in times of great change and uncertainty, people will turn to the irrational for a variety of reason.
I think we're seeing that again. As times are becoming more and more confusing and uncertain more and more people fail to keep up. All those people are looking for a new political home and are -for various reasons - washed up on the right.
It's 90% retards who are either too dumb, too old or too scared to adapt to a changing world and 10% of grifters preying on the 90% of retards.

No. I don't accept liberal humanist values of democracy, equality, equity, pluralism, diversity, inclusion and other such concepts that make them buzz with excitement.

That's a very interesting recommendation. I'll be sure to check out "Flight from Reason" as that sounds entirely geared towards me especially given my skeptic priors.

I will admit to knowing little about the Russia/Ukraine conflict beyond a longstanding history of intense hatred between the two nations, not the least of which included Soviet atrocities like the Holodomor.

I can speak to the perspective of championing of Russia within Western White Nationalist circles.

Despite the Westerners' pretenses as champions of democracy, equal opportunity, equality and freedom, the reality is that these luxury belief systems are afforded to only a privileged segment of the population with vastly disproportionate influence in public life. For the rest of the population especially those unsympathetic to progressive neoliberal humanist values, their lived experiences can only be defined by extreme repression. Merely expressing politically incorrect opinions tied to your identity will cost you your livelihood or, depending on where you are, get you fined. Depending on how notable you are, local media may orchestrate a PR campaign against you to further turn up the heat. Couple these phenomena with the reality that Western societies, especially in United States, United Kingdom and Commonwealth countries (Canada, Australia, New Zealand), do everything in their power to accommodate non-Whites at the expense of their native White populations which includes everything from preferred placement in the private and public sectors to even underpolicing crime all while placing every White person under the microscope for the slightest of perceived infractions, any genuflection from a powerful foreign government towards them will be greeted very warmly. Russians are keenly aware of the resentment and dispossession non-liberal / non-leftist Westerners feel towards their broader society and play on that to their advantage.

I will say that Western White Nationalists fawning over Russia places far too much faith in a aspiring global power that really has none of their interests in mind. Expecting foreign nations to literally destroy the primacy Westerners enjoy on the world stage couldn't be more indicative of a slave mentality and ties perfectly into my opening post. If Russia is successful in Ukraine, then the consequences will likely include losing allies in Eastern Europe and Asia along with China expanding its influence over Asia. China and Russia are permanent enemies of the American hegemony and will stop at nothing to destroy it.

In the end, it is up to us to muster the strength and courage to fix things, and as far as I can tell, America has no stewards willing to do so. There is no help coming, but I still have no idea what can be done.

This. I'm not spoonfeeding you, but if you must know, this account comes courtesy of Travis LeBlanc who was Nick Fuentes's biggest stan until very recently. He has now completely turned on him.
