Whatever happened the US is still the best place to host sites where people intend to speak their minds.
Every other place falls into this category:
1. they have lawful censorship (eg. Canada - hate speech, Russia - special military operation, Hungary - Hitler did nothing wrong, etc);
2. they have no laws that would regulate anything which to a certain extent protects, but then they can close down everything on a whim.
In the US, freedom of speech is still protected by the law (there is a defined list of stuff that aren't protected by it), and if you don't step on certain private actors' toe, then they won't wage their private wars against you by trying to cancel you.
bernd.group would have been fine in the US.
