Yes, it's amazing. A dark, gritty show which doesn't feel like regular Star Wars, but succeeds at portraying the lives of regular people living inside the Empire. It's also a good spy political thriller. It starts very slow, but that doesn't make it a bad series imo.

would you say I'm going to enjoy it if I don't really care for the original and prequel trilogy, haven't seen the sequels, thought bobba fett was boring, and the only star wars related thing I liked so far was the mandalorian?

Yes, you don't need to know any Star Wars to watch this show. Rogue One has a similar feel to this show, the protagonist Cassian Andor is from that movie. Of course I can't say, whether you will like it or not in the end, I can just tell you my opinion that it's a great show absolutely worth watching.

I watched the first 5 minutes but didn't reallly pay attention.

It was just talking so I didn't give it a second chance yet.

so it's kind of similar to Rogue One which is coincidentally the best Star Wars movie
