I guess not wearing sunscreen but being outside a lot is also a factor.

What is it about veganism that makes the skin around the eyes so weird?

That must be it. I know little about it, but what I know seems consistent with what I see.

And the first one causes chronic tiredness.
Btw, recently there was an article about how in bri'un they're receiving patients with nerve damage due to constant N2O abuse. N2O deactivates B12 (it replaces the CN bound into it), and without B12 nerves can't regenerate myelin.
But veganism also causes severe B12 deficiency. So they should develop the same nerve damage.

Most common deficiencies in vegans and vegetarians are B12, iron and sometimes protein. While iron and proteins are fairly easy to obtain through many foods like various nuts, beans and whatnot, B12 is rather tricky. The only meat-free food that contains some noteworthy amount of B12 is eggs and some cheeses, so if you're vegan and don't even eat these it's pretty much over for you and you have to take supplements or suffer.
I've been a vegetarian for more than 15 years, mostly didn't have any problems, never considered veganism, but I also started eating some meat and fish here and there in the past years. After eating some very tasty Lahmacun recently I have made the plan to eat meat once a week.

There's also arachidonic acid. But this is an odd one, because whether you need to eat it or not depends on a genetic polymorphism – some people barely synthesise their own and need to consume it (with meat), while others do and may even have too much arachidonic acid if they do eat red meat. Arachidonic acid is important in brain function and muscle growth, but is also a precursor to inflammation markers, so having too much arachidonic acid causes inflammation (and this is why there's very mixed results whether red meat causes cancer – it depends purely on what population it is tested on).
And regarding racial differences, overwhelming majority of Europeans have the carnivore allele, while overwhelming majority of Indians have the herbivore allele. Elsewhere it is more evenly distributed.

Alcohol and sun. I don't drink booze and mostly stay inside, and somehow look ten years younger than anyone else my age.
