I got off work and decided to walk to McDolan's down the street. However I ran into a problem when I noticed a woman further down the sidewalk walking down the same path as me.

 

I knew at the pace I was walking and she was walking I would eventually catch up and have to pass her. To avoid the awkward interaction of being the only two people on the sidewalk I decided to quickly run around the building to the side to get in front of her without her noticing.

 

It worked perfectly and all interaction was avoided.
