Fun fact: on July 4, 2014 I was inna mental hospital watching fireworks from my window thinking about the dichotomy of the nation celebrating freedom and me being locked away. In my possession were 2 books: the brother's Karamazov and Franz Kafka's complete short stories. I also remember the disposable razors that were provided.
Ask me anything

Why do Europeans poop so much on Christianity and get attached to a vague conception of pre-Christian paganism used to impose root modern values into the past?
SloveniaBernd2022-07-05 13:27:34 · 4yNo. 193663reply
>used to impose root modern values into the past?
Its dont.
The "root modern values" you invoke are Christianity without God.
Notions of pride, honour, tribal loyalty, which are key to pagan larping, are equalny opposed to both Christcuckoldry and kcmodernity.

Pride, aristocracy and honour are part of christian feudalism too. Unless you believe in some sort of pure theorical Christianity. While tendency to equalitarianism is seen in the revolutions of Roman and Greek society. Tribal loyalty to pagan lapers is just national loyalty, they are not submitted to the pater of their genus. While again, most of what we inherited, although sometimes distorted, comes from this Feudal Christian society. The shock of going back to prechristian Europe would be no greater, if not greater, than visiting some muslim shithole nowadays. And the lack of documents on the ancient religions allow a creative liberty to project your conceptions onto the past, then employ the past to root your ideas like any major ideology.

>Pride, aristocracy and honour are part of christian feudalism too.
Yeah, they're remnants of a warrior caste the church explicitly wanted to keep in check and eradicate those ideas lmao

Ever heard of the Guelphs vs Ghibellines conflict?
The Church explicitly sided with the merchants and cities against the nobility.
