I want to clarify: Owning a rifle does require a special permit on the Swiss, but you get it if you're not a criminal or want to kill yourself.

 

But you can go to any shooting range and shoot the rifle they lend you. The Swiss Shooting Federation in cooperation with the army even organises special days for the newbie general population.

Can you shoot full auto there?

I have no idea.

With 10 shots the AK is most likely not full auto. I would say that's a good price and 25 shots over three weapons is the right amount for the first time.

 

When I first shot a rifle, it was a very impressive experience, so you may be left wanting for more. Or it wont be as impressive for you, people are different.

 

It probably also has to do with the distance. Hitting a tiny dot at 300m distance feels different than shooting at 50m in a cellar.
