It is a dairy product. It has a unique taste, which is a bit like cheese. One name we have for it is "Weißkäse", which literally means white cheese.

It's called "requesón" in spanish. It's a bit sweet, I like it.

There's also white cheese, which is the "normal" cheese here. It's salty, sometimes too much.

We eat Ricotta in Germany as well, but it's a bit different than Quark. Ricotta is chunky, Quark is more fluid.
