What are some of your favorite painters, Bernd?
Mine are Gustave Moreau, Odilon Redon, Grünewald and El Greco.

He is an interesting example of an artist totally devoted to a specific genre (academic dreamt representation of Antiquity) and a bourgeois public seeking and buying very dearly seducing portraits of young mediterranean ladies.
But I dislike that it's always the same painting everytime.

His paintings are very idealist, yes, but there's a beauty in its rigidness and strictness.

i hate most later european art and the culture surrounding it, and while el greco is cool, im more into art thats reflective of specific culture and not a palette of individual styles, i like greco-roman stuff mostly because its kinda like the unified origin of all these more heterodox styles of western art
