United StatesNorman Finkelstein and company discuss Roe v. WadeBernd2022-06-05 17:47:16 · 4yNo. 161359reply
A very riveting discussion between Norman Finkelstein and three students over the issue surrounding Roe v. Wade:

It's a long discussion, but worth listening to.

its a fucking waste of time discussing some US abortion issue, which is heavily politicized to play into internal American divide politics. Whatever your opinion is, you don't decide anything

Think about your mortality, how you can one day die - do you really want to spend the life of yours on this UTTER SHIT? Are you going to look fondly back on the days you tried to research this meaningless pointless moronic topic? Don't be a fucking imbecile and don't fall for idiotic distractions that force you to waste time on issues you have no influence over, issues that only divide and play into someone's else intrest, issues that can be only discussed with ultra-heavy biased retards in the form of debate that doesn't achive anything and revolves around emotions

I might only add one more thing: it really grinds my gears when vapid foids try to discuss American bullshit over here, as if it matters in Europe.

do you look back fondly on the thousands of hours you wasted on videogames and imageboards?

don't judge what is interesting for some people. just because you are uncomfortable with the topic

Everything you mentioned is something I'm already painfully aware of. Yes, I know these debates tend to amount to nothing, as they reflect a segment of the conversation that's already happening rather than shaping the discourse for the future. Yes, it would be presumably more productive to do something else with my time than listen to others argue over a topic they have no direct role in the decision-making process.

However, you have to stand up for your principles if you wish to have any serious beliefs, and that involves staying informed and knowing how to respond when asked/challenged. You may not care about politics, but politics care about you. You and I are part of a society with individuals who intend to inflict their respective or collective upon us. At one point, you will have no choice but to stand or else be trampled.

I do not pretend to know what life in Russia or Slovenia is like, but I do know that politics in America tend to ripple globally.

>you have to stand up for your principles
How do you stan up for your principles by watching piss on the internet?

>knowing how to respond when asked/challenged
Asked by whom? Challenged by what? Another meaningless NPC in this broken RPG of American society where your choices don't matter?

>You may not care about politics, but politics care about you.
The politics of the United states of Amerca are not aware i even exist and i'm ok with that and there is no way i will try to do anything to change this status quo

>You and I are part of a society with individuals who intend to inflict their respective or collective upon us.
And our perspective is - FUCK OFF AND DIE. No one here is intrested in this garbage. Go and watch E-celebs discuss this shit for hours, while they get rich on donations and selling books, while your brain turns into jello trying to memorize meaningless trash you will never need.
