When I watch a film from the 30s or 40s it's clearly very dated in its storytelling, acting, and directing but if I watch a film from the 70s(if the film is good) the quality of acting, directing ,and story telling are equal to anything made today.

Cooking has barely been developed so far.
Aside from pretentious French bullshit, few people have taken cooking as more than just a craft that might have regional cultural variations and that's it.
There is ENORMOUS potential for cooking to be developed as a serious form of art (and when I mean serious, I don't mean masturbatory academic kind of art; I mean true popular yet refined art)
