Right wingers are to a large part just brainwashed by billionaires and to an increasing part just delusional or very stupid. They correctly identify problems like housing market, falling wages, rise in incels, etc. But then they come to insane conclusions like killing Jews or throwing out immigrants as if that would help anything.

The billionaires are happy, because the real causes of these problems, that they benefit from, are not tackled and the useful idiots even attack others that would be dangerous to the billionaires' interests as commies.

Another part is just a vicious cycle: Right wingers pander to crazies to get votes, then these crazies start rising in their ranks and then we have true believers calling the shots.
