Of course not. You have more vital issues on your mind when you vote - money, taxes, jobs, abortions, weed legalization, immigration and so on and so forth. The problem, however, is that you (as in Western people) successively voted for leaders that did everything to harm and weaken Russia, starting with the support for Chechen separatists back in 90s. (To be honest it goes way back to embargoes on Novgorod republic.) The long run objective is to dismember it, turn it into a myriad of little harmless slovenians that would act as Europe's natural resources (including bright and hardworking people) source and nothing more. Americans, I think, have something a bit different in mind - a myriad little bloody somalias that would constantly fight between each other, like it goes in Africa, like Germany did with Yugoslavia. Yes, Germany was the main instigator of Yugoslavia's dismemberment, because it was too big to be swallowed whole by the EU - i.e. Germany and its colonies. By the way, the same can be said about the invasion of Iraq - perhaps Germans saw it as a perfect opportunity to get USA focused on Middle East instead of Europe.

This means they finally found an enemy to get united against. Now EU will huddle together in fear, and prevent others then UK leave with scaring people with the new Devil.

Also if someone is out of the line they will point out he is with this enemy. They do this for a while now, but this trend will strengthen.

here in slovenia the communists on the radio were kvetching today about how hungary and poland are being racist when they're welcoming to ukrainian immigrants because they built walls and left niggers to die.

That was done already on behalf of Poland. They said they took x million of Ukrainians meanwhile this refugee crisis went on. Noone cared.

Global media is going overdrive reporting on Ukraine while the COVID narrative falls apart. Moderna and Pfizer stock are dropping while COVID restrictions are loosening. You think it will matter when now people who would deny national sovereignty, destroy nations, ridicule ethnical ties and communities, who would abolish borders and countries, now crying that Russia violated a nation, a country? Western "liberals" should rejoice and welcome this turn of events, the deconstruction of these oppressive, nationalistic institutions. They whine about how Putin wants to recreate the Soviet Union, when the Soviet Union was the embodiment of their ideals. No pesky ethnicities, no Russians, Ukrainians, Estonians, Armenians, or Mongols, just the socialist human type, the Soviet Man.
