My favourite movie will always be Star Wars episode 1.

The dude with the green lasersword thats how we call it in german and the long hair was really cool.

Phantom Menace unironically is a pretty good stand alone children's movie if you have no context beyond that.

I loved it too. this was my favourite, probably watched to it 20 times as well.

O fug, I remember playing the PSX game of that a lot :DD

 

I grew up so poor I couldn't play games, so I just picked player's guides from the dumpsters behind the Blockbuster. That was one of my favourites, I'd read it while watching the movie and imagine I was playing the game.

My parents wouldn't let me play games and TV was 404 so I often watched the Mario Kart case for GameCube I got from a friend and imagined playing it.

I wasnt even that poor but i still browsed miniature construction vehicles/lego/coin/poststamp/toystore catalogues all day. All vidya i wanted to play usually required a better pc than we had at home so i also read vidya magazines and looked at boxes in the gamestore.

 

 

God damn...

Ok maybe not all day long but still pretty often.

 

My post had the meaning that I have been participating in the same activities, namely mooring over Lego catalogues I was borrowing from a friend for hours on end every day back when I was about 7-8 years old.

I see.

My grandparents had an old lego one with sets they didnt sell anymore. It also included some pirate comic based on the sets.

I used to sit for hours in front of TV switched to MTV in hopes that they will play this video:

 

 

And sometimes they did!

I've never been a true fan, but they are certainly a part of my "childhood nostalgia" pack.
