It's funny how many iterations of Gothic Multiplayer / Online there were, I remember playing first one in 2011. It was horribly buggy and any change from side of client went to server without any checkup, so you could easily spawn invisible monsters or just damage every player on the server using script. Then devs left without a word, turned off forum and server browser. Second time was much better, new dev team tried to copy MTA approach to game and people made their own MMO servers that used to run on lua scripts.
Sadly now when there is most mature and stable version of this multiplayer mod, playerbase is dead.
