I thought they changed their recent travel advisories and entry requirements, now stating only vaccinated travellers may enter.
It seems like a cheap and a wonderful way to spend the winter if you do have the opportunity.

he's keeping lira somewhat afloat by selling all dollars he can find
if enough dourisds come in, the system will reach an equilibrium (where it needs continuous influx of foreign money to survive)

I went to Istanbul last year and can only say good things. What a great city, so lively and so much history. Fatih is the place to stay as that's where the most interesting historical stuff is, but beyoglu and Galata have some great sites/places to eat and are prob better for things like nightlife
