Some of it is solid music, much of it is aggressively mediocre and some of it is abjectly terrible. This is hardly unique to RAC. Sturgeon's law applies to every genre that grows large enough to inspire thousands of creators and bewilder listeners. Some genres are consistent with regards to quality; others less so.

I would think my experience listening to a wide range of heavy and extreme music, mostly outside this specific scene, would crest me with discerning sensibilities and knowledge of its evolution.

My mum got me these two books.
I found the PDFs online to print them out and asked her to do it for me but she told me our printer ran out of ink.
Few days later on christmas eve she had these books for me under the tree.
The first one is for jazz soloing and I will probably spend 2-3 years with it, who knows. The second one contains 10 etudes and I want to be done with it by April.
Ted Greene and Tomo Fujita are my favourite guitar teachers.
