It’s don’t. But when the injury is fresh it will heal more beautifully if a plastic surgeon fixes it. Normal surgeons just sow it back together to make it heal. Plastic surgeons make sure it leaves smaller scars and heals back like it was before, not just in a random way. Of course this isn’t always possible, but their expertise helps.
