Being small would also be a huge advantage in space. We could build way smaller space ships and need less material for colonies on mars.

But on mars is lower gravity so advantage there is to be taller.

probably so yiu don't jump 2m by accident and break your bones

biggest limitation to efficient height is heart having to pump blood up and down

too tall and blood is thin in heda and legs bloat from extra pressure

on mars, this is 3x less so

 

also falling over is easier on you in lower gravity

That would go against the evolutionary trend of people becoming taller, I prefer listening to mother nature and her will of trying to eradicate shorter people. Meddling in there artificially and playing god would probably cause a lot of harm and destruction.
