A support worker gave me a good talking to about expressing my desire to go to Whitehorse so I could gain a quicker license than anywhere else in Canada. She tried to dissuade me from settling in Whitehorse, because of a native man who began erupting into a prejudicial fury against whites. It was almost adorable in a way how frightened she sounded during her tale.

What's Whitehorse?

Sorry I should have included Yukon after Whitehorse to give a better idea.
It has a culture of kill, cold, dark, alcoholism, lots of work, which seems alright in my eyes.

What happens in Whitehorse? Gold mining?

Transport hub to smaller establishments.
Culture of alcoholic native spats.
Recruitment to work in camps that service mines, logging, infrastructure construction.

My family is starting to quarrel over my mum's estate. It makes me laugh they think she's loaded, but after repeated discussions, they fail to understand that I'm telling the truth about her debts and whatnot. I think their ears are clogged and it seems my uncle has this false image of Canada as a land of riches. After they asked me about her valuables, I told them I'm prepared to donate everything, because lets face it, the belongings in her estate aren't worth a tank of fuel. All I heard was screams of no over the phone when I told them this.
Then I heard some spiel about being a family, remaining in contact and being chastised I'm not remaining in contact with them. I retorted I want nothing to do with a pack of vultures ripping apart an estate. No response was given for several long seconds.
It really made me think that life was a whole lot better when my family didn't know I existed until this happened.
The worst part is that I don't even need to be here. I don't even need to be doing any of this. Fuck these people. I've had strangers who've been nicer and more helpful than this.

Dammit Canada-bernd, is your family from somewhere in Eastern Europe? It has this peculiar mix of retardation and petty maliciousness. Anyway, you know what - you should really write a book, or at least a short novel about all this crap. Semi-autobiographical "based on a true story" and all that. You'd get lauded for being a new Steinbeck.

Far worse, they're Americans.
About the book, I've retrieved my old journals from my room, and I guess I'll actually go ahead with an autobiography now that I'll have to shelve a fictional book I'd been preparing during my stay in NZ.
I'm so fucking maf I didn't even smoke weed.

It's one of the few cities I haven't visited in Canada. I also can't stand the cold anymore, but I have plenty of thermals and gear to set me through my journey there.
+Higher minimum wage
+Better employment opportunities
+6 month driver's license (2nd stage)
+Smaller communities
-Culture of alcohol and natives
-Cold, also dark
-Everything is more expensive
-Housing crisis
-Rapacious summer insects
Danke.
