I failed grade 9 and 10 high school math due to extreme anxiety at the time.
I'd sit in class, frozen from the guilt of fucking up, scared to skip because the principal already threatened to suspend me if I missed class, and so my teacher would berate my after class about failing to retain any course work and then comparing me to others. The sheets he gave me were as wet as a lake due to how shot my nerves were from all sorts of matters, then passed them in summer school with surprisingly relaxed moods.
But my grade 10 math teacher did tell me, and I believe its true. When a student or person is failing maths, its generally the telltale sign of a serious problem and its always the first course to appear troublesome to the individual.
