Good question. Some outlets have an end of season sale. Other trampers buy their gear used. This hammock is American and may go on sale during Black Friday or Boxing Day, but I wanted it and got it and sleep like a baby in it.

What sort? I used to own a gelert one man tent before it fell apart from my winter camping and living beside the ocean.
I had a crummy tent in NZ before it succumbed to my brutal trampings with it.
