Either the branch fell on a boar and killed it by accident or someone did indeed place a dead boar there and put something heavy on it to bait and shoot wolves - highly illegal. You should report this to the nearest Forstamt. Sent them these pics and the location.

this is considered hunting here. climbing a ladder into a little murderbooth and sniping at the animal while they think it is safe.

Wolves are not overabundant. They were literally extinct in Germany for hundreds of years and now only a few dozen are here.

 

Hunting is not a sport you should lose, because that means needlessly injuring an animal. This is not the movie Predator. Hunters are expected to kill with every shot to reduce needless suffering of animals and potential danger to others. It has to be made as easy as possible for the hunter.
