Yes. I've learned it this summer, when I decided to watch the film properly. (The first time I watched it I was like seven, and didn't remember much.) The film is absolute kino; very underrated. Of all the "cheap post-apocalypse Mad Max followers" this one is certainly the best I watched.
 
But. Do you know, that there is a sport based on light saber fights from Star Wars? Comes in various degrees of autism as well:
