IMHO NZ has probably the best hope for the future of the Anglo colonies.

Yes political scene is currently garbage but this will fix itself shortly, both due to external geopolitical pressures, the break from Overseas Experience which has been pozzing them so far, and due to shift in demographic self-perception.

What demographic self-perception, you ask? Well, NZ is quite impressively successfully rebranding itself as a hybrid Polynesian-European culture, percentage Maori is rapidly growing (thanks to racemixing, no minimum blood requirement and political privileges that come with self-identifying as such – over 25% of under 18s are Maori, despite all the scaremongering about chinks and poos they don't seem to be reproducing) – the future of NZ is nominally Maori, genetically and culturally 80%+ European-derived. It's shapeshifting into something that is European in all but name, has a chance at maintaining all the relevant content while easily tricking the identity obsessed wokes; what better do you wish?

Lockdowns do destroy the economy as you already know, but so do lacking workers greater set on collecting the dole than shelling out their body in the hopes of making minimum wage +8%.
