I sent in my old 48L kestrel Osprey hiking bag for its lifetime warranty. The courier lost it first, then the warehouse lost it, then the warehouse refused to service it because I bought it in Canaduh, then after two months I pop into the store I returned it in and they gave them hell and I got upgraded to a nearly $400 dollarydoo bag.
Feels good being a backpacking jew.

All I own can be stuffed into a backpack of 48 litres, which was my previous bag size. Now I can errr uhhh fit more papers in there I guess.

What does it mean to "sent in my old 48L kestrel Osprey hiking bag for its lifetime warranty"?
GermanyBernd2021-08-13 16:27:26 · 5yNo. 119777reply
He sent them his bag, probably because it was malfunctioning or needed to be repaired. Lifetime warranty can mean different things, but it most likely it guarantees the customer the right to get his product repaired, if it isn't too old already and its "lifetime" hasn't exceeded.

Please stop bullying me, Roosia. I travel with the bare minimum and have done it quite well for some years. At one point I had a 10L single compartment bag with a sleeping bag, bivy, water bottle, few books and my toothbrush, spoon, lighter, wallet, toothpaste, tooth floss and drugs were in my pockets. Life was good.

You should be able survive without all this in Australia, be a man!

Well yes it'd be incredibly easy to survive in Aussie with a source of water and limited goods. The only issue would be any dangerous critters.
