It's actually pretty cool. I used to ride horses as a boy (age 9-14 probably). But beware, horse people are a bit crazy sometimes. Imo western style riders are a bit more chill and down to earth while english style have more mental illness, but it could be different for the individuals you deal with.

Just join the club and don't worry if its not too big of a financial commitment. They aren't crazy in the sense that you should be afraid, but maybe annoyed or will not get along.

 

In my experience, english style horse girls and women can be annoying Zicken-types. Spoiled rich girls controlling powerful animals, etc. But I also found western horse girls to be the exact opposite. I guess you shouldn't go into it with prejudices like that, just beware that there might be some special characters.

You can just do riding tours. I heard such things are popular in Iceland, for example.

The local riding centre says you can't go there alone first time wtf not very Bernd friendly.
