idk, usually when I practise outsides and strangers talk to me or offer me money, I always start a smalltalk and when they are interested in my guitar I almost always offer them to try playing a bit themselves and teach them some super easy stuff like the E minor chord

How long have you played guitar btw? I have bought a cheap one for myself and tried lörning, but it was difficult and I gave up. I'm wondering if I should wait until I can pay for lessons or try again learning by myself.

Just keep trying, learning guitar is much easier than getting a woman to have sex with you. A cheap one can make it harder though (guitar not woman), make sure yours is properly playable.

I have a friend who is good with guitars and even played in a band with proper contract and all. He said my guitar sounds really nice for a cheap guitar and I managed to tune it correctly.

I did music all my life.

Started with the piano at the age of 4 but changed to the violin at the age of 6. Had my first "concert" at the age of 5, also developed perfect pitch around that age and my father even hit me when I didn't want to see my piano teacher. It was china tier.

 

My family is your typical upper middle class stock im arsch german family so until I moved out at the age of 19 I only had classical music education.

 

Then I bought a bass guitar because I loved those fancy bass lines from JRPG OSTs which was the only genre I really knew besides classic.

 

I got my guitar 2 years ago because I want to be a god tier musician one day but sadly almost nobody needs a god tier bassist.

 

 

I got to the point where it is actually fun to practise around 6 months ago, getting there is hard. But with enough discipline anyone can do it in less than 3 months.

Ever since then I can't let go of my guitar, I practise at least 3 hours every day and more on weekends.

 

Lessons are useless. You only need them if you can't motivate yourself to play enough.

I did the mistake and had lessons for a few months but it was shit, didn't help at all compared to what I do at home and its almost 1K€ gone.

 

 

If you want I can take the time and make some thread on /b/ or so where I walk you through the basics. I love helping others out as I have been helped out too by many other musicians.

Ok, I will never learn music as good as you. I'm in my mid twenties and can't read musical scores and I did a hearing test and I can't determine whether a sound was higher or lower pitched than the one before.
