You can always meet and spend time with pretty much anyone because nobody works besides police, fire fighters etc.

What if your friends are police or nurses? What if you can't meet on saturday, because you wörk and still need to do shopping for sunday?

 

Just don't ban sunday opening for shops. Maybe force them to pay extra and then the market will regulate. In Iceland the shop was open on sundays from 10-14. Plenty of time to get some milk or whatever else you still needed or forgot to buy and people had a free afternoon. Also shop workers never needed to work longer than 21 in the evenings. Meanwhile German supermarkets have opening hours until 22 or even 24.
