Have you tried national libraries? Library of congress, archive.org etc.
I used to scourge their digitalised archives for pictures, medieval Czech bibles for example have great woodcuts inside. But generally i wouldnt care for the copyrights unless you are using music or movies.
Otherwise you also have sites with free stock images like UNSPLASH, but its a different kind of imagery.
I will be sending it to some kc frens with whom i had established postal contacts in the past.
I like the black and white version too tbh, but wanted to do something challenging in DIY context, a work with 3 color layers.
It's not that easy to align the colors together without specialised table that has surface suction, you have to minimalize all the variables that would lead to paper or the screen moving. Ultimately there were some 1mm misalignements but nothing printbreaking, i consider all 12 prints to be more or less succesfull.

Yes. I've seen a video about the process and it seems difficult. Very impressive and I agree they turned out very well in terms of technique. 10/10 craftsmanship, 10/10 motive, 6/10 color choice imo as someone who hates colors.

Hm, I see what you're going for but no artistic tool seems very appealing to me tbh. There are no toys I want to play with. (Exception, will elaborate later.) I have certain pictures in my head I'd like to do but I have no idea how.
I have no immediate desire to pick up a pen or brush and master it... Except for brushes used for painting warhammer miniatures and doing fun conversions, but these are not the artistic visions I have in my head that I want to come out. I did some stuff with watercolor and pencil a while back, that was alright. Maybe I should continue.
I like bold blacks and light whites and beiges and skin colors to contrast. I want to make something sublime, something noble, intellectual, but also edgy, strong, dark...
