I just booked a ticket for the swimming pool. On saturday I will go swimming again for the first time in 1,5 years and probably the third time in 3-4 years. Wish me luck, Bernds. I'm sure I will be massively out of shape, which will be weird for me since I was always a good swimmer. Last time my arms hurt after 5 minutes, though, and now it has been 1,5 years more without swimming. I'm also sure to spill all kinds of spaghetti due to social reasons and the new unusualness of covid restrictions.

Rivers and lakes are not ideal for swimming. There are yucky slimy things in there and no flat surfaces to turn around on. Swimming pools are literally designed for swimming. Unfortunately Germans are cultureless idiots who don't know how to design and use swimming pools properly, but it will have to do.

Swimming in natural bodies of water is so much better. Specially cold waterfall pools.

It was fine btw. Swam 2x10 minutes and quite fast compared to most people in the water. The pool facilities were third world tier, though. As has to be expected in Germany.

I wonder how well I can swim after not doing it for 15 years. I loved swimming as a child but once I became fat and ugly I started to go to the pool less and less.
