I never understood why yiu need a high end GPU for screens as small as 15". Can you really notice the difference between high and ultra settings on it?

Seems a bit overkill but it isn't my money or testicles being roasted.

 

I just updated my 9 year old PC, also updated gayming monitor. I am not good with computers, so I had a friend help me select a decent ready-to-go gaymingcompilation. It was 1700€ + 300€.

 

Monitor: AOC Q27G2U 27" - 144 Hz 2560x1440

 

PC: Lenovo Legion T5 R7 3700X / 16GB RAM / 3000GB SSD+HDD / RTX3070

Almost what my stationary is right now but with a 1080 gtx.

 

Gonna upgrade the stationary next year when the gpu market has cooled down a bit

for what purpose? its ultimately shitty exp. to play on laptop, esp. 15"

if you want to play gaymes buy normal PC.

if you want laptop buy slimmiset possible with good display and mid tier discrete GPU.

also do not under any circumstances buy AMD CPU ever.

Because I work at sea and cannot bring a big stationary with me.

i see, then you might also consider external gpu which works via thunderbolt and good slim laptop with good cpu.
