I'm in the midst of buying a guitar except I'm confronted with a crossroads of banking charges. Either I opt with paypal, and paying $60 extra or go with an unknown charge from my bank.
Such a gamble but I think my bank will be cheaper and offer me a better conversion ratio than paypal.

I'm very stingy with my money. When I get up later before work, I'm phoning my bank and asking how much it'll cost.
Better be worth it for a $600 dollar guitar.

600 Kiwi$...? How much is that in real money? Can you actually play guitar?

Its roughly $360 euros. And yes I can play guitar and have been on and off for the last six years.

Is this cause your bank account isn't in NZD?
If you're getting it shipped in from other country, I don't know why you would bother for a $600 dollar guitar if you're so concerned about cost efficiency?

My bank is in nzd, though, if I purchased with paypals lower exchange rate, I'd pay
60 dollarydooss more, and if I bought the same guitar (without the gigbag that's included in the overseas sale) in NZ, it'd cost me $999.

And then the company notified me they're out of stock of the guitar until the 29th, and charging me 120 euros instead of 60 euros because of the parcel's dimensions.
Not much of an issue even if the price just shot up a hundred dollars nzd but since I might be working illegally next week, due to immigration stalling on my visa extension, I'm not sure if I should keep my job and get taxed 50% or just flee elsewhere for a good vacation in a commune.
Such cases.
