Exams tomorrow, I didn't study.
I think I will get about 80% but I could have easily taken 95%+ if I studied.

Why does this happen.
GermanyBernd2021-02-23 14:32:20 · 5yNo. 110676reply
Are you from Kassel?

>How does that happen?
Lack of structure, planning and disciplin. Make the best out of the current situation and make plans for improvements in the future.

From Hessen, not Kassel in particular.

Idk, my life has always been like this, I always do "more interesting" stuff and the important things get like \<5% of my attention, yet I somehow got through highschool and will pass this exam with ease, but I could be so much better.

When I am in front of a task that I am not interesting in it, I can barely read it, the letters will start to dance in front of my eyes and after 3 seconds my brain thinks about something else.

For my final maths exam in Abitur I wanted to learn so much, but I kept procrastinating and started 30m before the exam while eating cereals at home in the kitchen.

It's so fucked up I can't do anything with it, right now I am practicing guitar all day already and I keep telling myself: "At 10:00 you will start to study... At 11:00 you will start to study... At 12:00 you will start to study..." BUT NOTHING EVER HAPPENS AND EVEN IF I GET MY LAZY ASS TO OPEN UP MY DOCUMENTS AFTER A FEW SECONDS I AM ELSEWHERE AGIAN WITH MY THOUGHTS AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

I feel you. Doing the bare minimum was always enough so that's what I do.

My company let us study for our exam on working hours for at least 2 months with some mock exams in between. So obviously I spend 90% of that time playing games on my laptop.
Got 92% that way.
Without that, I would have studied even less and gotten around 80% too I guess.

I agree. Quintessential Bernd personality traits.

I'm trying to change and improve myself, learning many skills and developing new habits at 26 that some probably already had in school. But this is my journey and I have already noticed some small improvements.

Sames, for my final exams I will also aim for 9X% with minimum effort.

Maybe it is not so bad after all, having all these special interests we spend a lot of time in make us who we are.
I wouldn't want to trade my guitar skills for perfect exams for example.

Now travelling to the location of my execution, hopefully DB doesn't fuck up but there was already an announcement about a technical failure.

Perfect exams are one thing, succeeding at the things you want to succeed at another. Good luck anyway Bernd!

If i could get 80% without study I wouldnt study either.

JuSt PaY aTtEnTiOn In ClAsS, Bernd.

Jk, my exams are just very easy.
It's questions like "is this an Ethernet or a USB port?".
The economy part will be a guessing game.

It's just that everyone in my family is so successful. My father got a doctor's degree in maths, and both my grandpas even have their own wikipedia pages for the maths and history books they wrote.

And me?
I'm just a fucking failure, dropped out of uni in my 2nd year due to no motivation and laziness, now I will be a Fachinformatiker at age 23.
Even my brother who first dropped to Realschule now did his Abitur and is successfully studying.

I also was depressed because I was born with really bad eyes and everyone around me started to drive a car and have a life.

Why should I even try?
GermanyBernd2021-02-24 09:30:48 · 5yNo. 110724reply
This was probably the easiest exam of my entire life.
There even was a multiple choice question to explain the meaning of pic related.
How can people possibly fail this?

I hate myself for not being in my uni anymore.

I have a similar problem. I usually don't study for stuff and still manage to get an acceptable grade in most cases, when I study it's much higher but I usually don't see the point. I've always been this way. Back in primary and secondary school I usually got 90 to 100% without ever studying but college is more challenging so my average was lowered to around 80%. It's still good, but it could be so much better.

Yeah, I remember it being very easy. But still there was this guy sitting behind me that seemed to have big problems. At one point two testers were standing next to him giving him tips. lel

Create a study routine that you follow every day in the same exact way

That way you'll be able to fprce yourself to study and you'll get em full marks from tests

Sounds like a solution from a textbook that works in theory.
